The 3rd Annual Day Of Design
September 30th, 2010
The IFDA Richmond Chapter is very excited to host its annual Day of Design event. We are thrilled to have internationally renowned designer, Charles Faudree, as our guest speaker this year. Charles will share his work, experiences and advice for designing a timeless and classic home. Having authored four books on interior design, Charles Faudree is one of the fields most prolific and well known designers.
After Charles' presentation, we will have a lovely champagne lunch and enjoy a panel discussion with Charles Faudree and the various IFDA Show House designers. Guests will be encouraged to present their questions about Charles' portfolio, the Show House and their own design dilemmas for a lively discussion.
After the panel discussion, Charles Faudree will be available for a book-signing and all four of his books will be available for purchase. If you already own one of his fabulous books, please bring it for his signature.
Your ticket price also includes a ticket to the Richmond Symphony Designer House. The Show House is a lovely historic tudor home located on the James River at 1234 Rothesay Circle. The house features 28 interior design spaces and 10 landscape designers. You may choose to tour this house at the end of your afternoon, or you may save your ticket to use anytime before the Show House closes on 10/11/10. Parking for the Show House is located at the intersection of Douglasdale Road and McCloy Street near the City Stadium (former UR Stadium). Maps will be provided.

CHANGE OF VENUE: Due to the forecasted heavy rains, this event has been relocated to The Woman's Club of Richmond, Bolling-Haxall House, 211 E. Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23219.
CHANGE OF SCHEDULE: Check-in at The Woman's Club of Richmond will begin at 10:00 am on 9/30/10. Presentations will begin at 10:30 am. Your ticket includes a ticket to the Richmond Symphony Designer House. You will have an opportunity to tour the Designer House at the end of the afternoon (2:00 pm - 4:00 pm) and the rain is expected to ease up in the early afternoon. If you choose to wait for nicer weather, your Show House ticket is redeemable any time before the Show House closes on 10/11/10.
